The way decisions are made in any moment of crisis by a person holding position and authority is directly related to his/her own value system, mental strength, empathy and compassion towards a fellow human. There are many living examples of such vital decisions that backfired on human race and lead to mass destruction. If we look at the last century behind us- we have striking cases that demonstrate leadership and decision making crisis-like the ‘Çase of Hiroshima-Nagasaki’ and closer home ‘Bhopal Gas Tragedy’. Education plays a vital role in shaping the building blocks of the society –the Youth, who are the future consumers, future professionals, future families and future leaders of the nation. This session discusses the role of Universities in revisiting their Education curriculum to incorporate a Value based education system that lays emphasis on IQ, EQ, MQ and SQ (Intelligence Quotient, Emotional Quotient, Mental Quotient and Spiritual Quotient).
